Eugene Kaspersky Discusses the Evolution of Malware |

In a video interview filmed at 10th annual Virus Analyst Summit in Dubrovnik, Croatia, Eugene Kaspersky reflected on how the techniques and targets of malware have changed over the past ten years. Mr. Kaspersky notes the transition from "script-kiddie vandals" writing code in order to gain notoriety, to the criminal organizations now writing programs to harvest financial data and other valuable information, and predicts increased encryption of malware will make it more difficult to combat. He also offers advice for users and organizations to stay safe online.
